Why I Love It
A breather from the busy life of Silverlake . This park is incredibly unique with some great history. It's my place to relax and take in a direct view of Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood sign. If you want more than a spot to picnic and take in the views, you can walk over to the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, take some time to learn a little LA history, tour the Hollyhock house, take some art classes, and maybe even go to a wine tasting. Barnsdall Art Park is located on Olive Hill in the East Hollywood area of Los Angeles.

TIP
Visiting on a Monday? There is a Farmer's Market you can enjoy, too. The downside is a lot of the free parking is taken on Monday. The entrance is easy to pass by so go slow as you get nearer the address of 4800 Hollywood Blvd. I tend to stop by my favorite little Tex Mex spot down the street for some great little tacos and add them to my basket.
